Elaine Luria for Congress

It's former Congresswoman and Democratic candidate Elaine Luria. On January 6th 2021, our democracy was violently attacked like never before in our nation's history. 

As a member of Congress at the time, there were lots of thoughts going through my mind that day, but one stood out among the rest: 

𝘐 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘺 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘵. 

So, I served on the January 6th committee to uncover the truth and make sure those responsible were held accountable. Some told me that serving on the committee was a career-ending mistake, but I want to be very clear: 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀. 

Recently, I spoke in a January 6th hearing on the Hill because I will always choose the truth and greater-good over personal career ambitions. Many politicians in Washington can't say the same, which is why I'm running in one of the country's most competitive races to flip VA-02.
