I always knew I wanted to serve my country.
That's why I joined the Navy when I was 17 years old. Then after serving my country for 20 years, I couldn't shake the desire to do more.
So I ran for Congress in 2018 and flipped VA-02 blue. I went on to serve another term after that, where I served on the January 6th committee to defend democracy.
But my fight to uncover the truth and an onslaught of MAGA cash may have cost us a third term in the most competitive House district in the country.
I have no regrets with my decisions, but now I'm ready to get off the sidelines and rejoin the fight.
I'm running to help families get ahead instead of just getting by, to ensure veterans get the support they need, and to defend our Constitution.
