As you know, I get a lot of hate from the far-right and conspiracy theorists of all kinds, including folks like Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Nancy Mace, who constantly attack me with baseless smears.

The number of threats goes through the roof. That's why I do everything I can to ensure my safety and the safety of my campaign by hiring a security team.

But the thing is, security is expensive. Way more expensive than you may think. A lot of people assume that as a member of Congress, it is provided to me for free - it's not.

Because of these continued attacks, we must invest more in our security to keep myself and my team safe.
